Stop Liking Hate!

The title of this post is very self-explanatory. However, it is not so simple when people are determined to “liking hate.” With the current state of America and the removing of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, so many people are being excluded from basic opportunities that everyone else is enjoying. DEI policies are not only for minorities, but the policies are also for disable, women, veterans, etc. If we are being honest, DEI policies wouldn't exist if people were not racist, sexist, ableism, etc.

Examples of the importance of DEI: There is a documentary about Hazel Scott and there was an ASL interpreted, which was included throughout the entire documentary. (Which I absolutely adored watching!) Or witnessing (in real time) some college students losing their scholarships that were primarily based on DEI initiatives. Or organizations losing their funding and maybe are at risk of closing, etc.

Bottom line, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is important to society as a whole, and removing access to the underrepresented groups is detrimental to the growth of society. We all may be affected by these policy changes, either directly or indirectly.
